Being near the heart of the Three Valleys, La Tania’s ‘local’ skiing is world class. In resort there are nice long open greens and blues, with a drag lift, perfect for beginners. Taking the lift up into the Three Valleys region, you have Courchvel Valley on the left and Meribel on the right. From Meribel you can continue on to Val Thorens and Les Menuires. The Courchevel valley has around 150km of marked pistes, for all abilities and plenty of off-piste options, and is very pleasing with a very high treeline at around 2300m. The Courchevel Valley has an outstanding selection of blue and red runs, which intermediates will enjoy immensely. Highlights are the Park City red run and the more challenging trails from La Saulire. La Saulire also has the 'The Ugly Sisters' , some of the most difficult couloirs in Europe. These are graded black but are in some place beyond that scale and are really suitable only for the expert skier. Some other popular expert trails are the steep and mogul covered Jockeys or Jean Blanc, the long black mogul, below the Les Creux bowl, down Chanrossa lift. Off course there are plenty of guided off piste opportunities, as well as guided glacier skiing. The Mountain Guides office also offer heliskiing in Italy.

La Tania has a snowpark for freestylers and there is a nice beginner’s area for those starting out. But waiting to be explored is the whole Three Valleys (Trios Vallees) Ski area, with many snowboarding highlights, a number of parks, pipes and large powder fields. Specifically, there is a large railpark near Courchevel’s Plantrey chair lift; beneath the Dou der Lanches chair lifts there is an amazing powder field for freeriders. Meribel has one the best French Alpine snowparks, the Moon Park. And the Verdans area has a family park.
