For something unique to Breckenridge try a Gold Mine Tour or take a guided or unguided walk around the resort to see many of the town's carefully restored and maintained century old buildings. There are two museums run by the Summit Historical Society to further inform you. Ice skating is possible on Maggie Pond at the Village and at the Breckenridge Memorial Ice rink. Snowmobiling guided tours are also organised along the Continental Divide, including stops at ghost towns and old mining sites. The more leisurely might prefer a sleigh ride or even dog sledding. There are numerous snowshoeing trails around the area. For indoor sports and activities The Breckenridge Recreation Centre is municipally owned and open to the public (a facility often lacking in some of the major French and North American resorts). It includes swimming pool with water slide, hot tubs, indoor tennis and squash (racquet ball) courts, a running track and gym equipment.
